Hi!! My name is Mrs. Kairise A. Johnson. I am the mother of four beautiful children, two boys Jordan & Kyle, and two girls Alana & Kennedy. My husband Will and I are happily married and living in Fuquay-Varina, NC.

It is my fifth school year here at HSLC, and I’ve worked in the early childhood field for more than twelve years now. I attended both UNC-Wilmington and Wake Tech where I received an associate degree in Early Childhood Development in July of 2002. I’ve worked continuously in the triangle area since 1998, and volunteered for two years (1996-1998) with the New Hanover county Boy Scouts of America association. I am currently finishing up course work for a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education through Mount Olive College.

In my years of experience, I’ve discovered that children learn best when they are actively engaged in activities that are meaningful, hands-on, and fun! It is my goal to teach the “whole child”; to assist them in reaching their full potential through developmentally appropriate practices based on the individual child’s needs and level of advancement.

In my spare time I enjoy dining out, shopping, travel, dates with my hubby, and movies. My hobbies include scrap booking, painting, reading, and my children.
